Jelani Brown has been active with the Don’t Shoot Coalition. The coalition came together after the shooting of Mike Brown by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. As a graphic designer student, Jelani has been using his talents along with other local artists towards both healing and agitation. He has been working with the healing arts crew in and around Canfield Apartments and Ferguson, MO to address the traumatization of residents because of the shooting. Recently he was part of the protest at Powell Symphony Hall.
